What we do - Process
The investment process consists of the following steps:
- Octopus meets, evaluates and recommends businesses
- Potential investee company pitches to Octopus Investor Group
- Octopus completes investment on behalf of the funds managed by Octopus and Octopus Investor Group
The screening and selection process is rigorous:
- 2,500 proposals screened
- 1000 business plans reviewed
- 200 detailed reviews
- 8-10 investments
We will not invest in an opportunity unless we can:
- Work with the management team
- Leverage the network of Octopus Ventures Independent Investors
- Understand the industry
- Add management value
